ALDA – Association Européenne pour la Démocratie Locale (FR)
ALDA is a global alliance (300 members from 54 EU countries, 16 Local Democracy Agencies, 2 Operational Partners) of local and regional authorities and civil society dedicated to promoting good governance and active citizenship at the local level in the EU, its neighbourhood and beyond. Through participative methods and decentralised cooperation, it supports citizens, CSOs and multi-level stakeholders in improving their local context, building bridges with local authorities, and working on European integration, decentralisation, human rights, social inclusion, sustainable development, civic initiatives, localisation of SDGs and more.
Role in the project
ALDA leads WP6–Sustainability, Replication, and Exploitation to ensure lasting results, enhance advocacy, and deliver policy recommendations. It also coordinates WP7 communication activities to maximise the project’s visibility, impact, and stakeholders’ engagement. Its wide network gives the consortium access to key insights into multilevel governance and democratic processes.
